Job Title: Optician/Optometric Technician
Pay: Competitive, based on experience. Previous ophthalmic work preferred. On-site training and continuing education available.
Duties:
· Assist with patient care in a fast-pace, full-scope optometric practice with one provider
· Compile patient data during optometric examination
o Checking visual acuity, lensometry on glasses, recording medical and ocular history, etc.
· Primary contact for ordering glasses, adjusting glasses, ordering contacts. Necessary skills:
o Knowledge on optometric lens options: lens materials, coatings, lens types, lens measurements, etc.
o Knowledge on contact lens offerings, insertion and removal, handling and care
o Glasses repairs and adjustments
· Verification of vision and medical insurance benefits and applying those benefits to optometric materials
· Mandatory staff training on ophthalmic topics: ocular health/anatomy, optical education, medical billing and coding, etc.

Hours: Full-time
Monday, Tuesday, Thursday 8-5
Wednesday 8-5:30
Friday 8-1
